These are some designs I have come up with to place the QR codes in. As my collaboration is linked with Instagram, I chose to incorporate the Instagram logo as a illustration and place the QR code inside as the code will lead you to the collaborators Instagram site, which will provide many more of their recipes.
Quick Response (QR) codes are fun and interactive ways of directing people to URLs. By trying to target people on a healthier lifestyle and better meals to cook, QR codes aid this. Reasons being that this is a very easy and efficient way to quickly access online websites and recipes. As QR codes are an up and coming source of interactivity, now being used on food products, business cards, posters clothing and many more places, after doing plenty of research it’s clear that QR codes have not been used in recipe books that much. Using QR codes within many types of magazines and books has been undergone, however adding the codes within recipe books, whereby scanning the on your smart phone will lead you directly to the URL page of the collaborator and their real link is innovative. 
Above are the two illustrations I put together to guid users on how to use QR code scanning. This is important because everyone who reads the book should find it easy and fun to get involved with QR scanning. Following the illustration, I put together a guide on how download and use the application. The steps simply follow as: 1) Open your Application store on your Smart Phone, Android or Tablet 2) Search for ‘QR code reader’ 3) Download the top free application that is compatible with your phone When you see this or this… …get open your QR scanning application and simply hover over the code with your phone and you will be directed to a specific page! Changes: In addition to making my recipe book innovative, the use of Augmented Reality video was going to be used however this I thought this was such a great idea at the time which would be great if i was creating my own videos to produce as a augmented reality video, however as I would be collaborating with people online and using their videos, I am unable to edit their videos in certain ways to create a great augmented reality scenario.
